Love, Romance, Love

People have an almost exhausting obsession with love.

The world is overflowing with love songs, romantic films, and tabloid headlines about who’s dating whom. Even with the same clichés and predictable storytelling, people fall for love again and again, as if they’ve never seen it before.

Sometimes I wonder: In a world like this, is living alone something to feel guilty about? Everyone is dressed in the color of love, yet you walk around in grayscale.

It’s as if there’s no place in this world for someone who prefers heartbreak scenes over first kisses, or who finds more comfort in the darkness of dawn than the glow of a sunset.
